About Parle Cup
The Parle Cup and Parle Champions Trophy Tournaments were conceptualized with a
vision to provide a professional platform for young cricketing enthusiasts. It
is a matter of pride that the Parle Cup and Parle Champions Trophy is India’s
largest privately promoted inter-school cricket tournament for boys under 17
years of age and is the breeding ground for the country’s next generation of
international cricketers. Conducted across 15 major cities through its 6 city
centers, viz. Chennai, Delhi, Punjab, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Mumbai, the
tournament covers approximately 500 schools. It follows a format where schools
compete at the state level for the Parle Cup, with the winner of each city
participating at the national level for the Parle Champions Trophy.
The Parle Cup is a fine example of how ‘sustained sponsorship’ is the key to
any tournament’s overall growth and success. The tournament is title sponsored
by Parle Products Pvt. Ltd. and is conducted under the aegis and auspices of
the respective state cricket associations. Parle Products Pvt. Ltd. continues
its long-term sponsorship support for ‘young’ cricket.
Cricketforindia Limited, which shares the vision of the Event (i.e. a
commitment to guide, encourage and inspire the generation next of Indian
Cricket), has strengthened the Event as the Official Internet Partner. This
Event Website will provide an opportunity for participants, professional and
laymen to access data, scorecards of matches and player profiles.
